The strategic engine behind a category-leading brand.
2021
Summary
Culture Cartel served as the comprehensive brand and marketing powerhouse for Kubota Southern Africa, overseeing the entire ecosystem for the region’s premier agriculture and outdoor power equipment brand. We acted as the central creative and strategic hub, managing a vast network of over 80 dealers across Southern Africa. Our remit covered the full spectrum of brand authority, from national advertising and digital infrastructure to dealer development and massive-scale trade show presence, positioning Kubota as the undisputed #1 brand in its class within the region.
Challenge
Managing a brand of this scale requires more than just marketing; it requires a deep understanding of complex distribution networks and diverse consumer segments. The challenge was to maintain total brand integrity across a massive dealer footprint while simultaneously driving high-performance results for everything from heavy commercial machinery to consumer-grade equipment. We had to speak to professional farmers, industrial contractors, and lifestyle owners with one cohesive, authoritative voice.
Solutions
We engineered a 360-degree brand management system that unified the Kubota experience at every touchpoint:
Dealer Network Empowerment: Developed comprehensive brand guidelines and turn-key marketing toolkits for 80+ dealers, ensuring national consistency with local impact.
Omnichannel Dominance: Executed a high-performance digital strategy, including Google Ads, SEO, and social media, paired with heavy-hitting traditional print and PR campaigns.
Experiential & Trade Shows: Managed the full design and execution of national trade shows and brand activations, turning industrial exhibits into immersive brand experiences.
Infrastructure Development: Built and maintained the digital architecture (websites and e-commerce readiness) and handled all high-volume merchandise and collateral production.
